engine start with compressor in on position
Should I have my air compressor (breaker) in the on position when starting my ’94 – 8v92TA? I have recently replaced a few air hoses that split. Wondering if I’m putting too much sudden pressure on them when starting engine with compressor in the on position? I used to turn it on after engine warmed up and for some reason changed my procedure… could be a coincident and quite possible could be I don’t know what I’m talking about!

The starting of the coach is unaffected by pneumatic system air pressure. The only attention required is if the coach is started with zero pressure on the belt tensioners be sure to not rev the engine or go to high idle until the belts are tight.
Given the coach vintage you likely have no reason to run the auxiliary air compressor unless you need to operate some air operated house system.
