I will call them and see what my options are with it. I did not realize that there is power to the unit all the time b/c it shuts all the way off with the engine.
I have had to replace the unit before b/c the screen had cracked in shipping. They were very helpful and sent me out a new unit right away with an envelope to send the broken one back. No charge, great people.

I have a master switch for the ignition circuit probably like yours and even with it off, there’s power to the diagnostic plug.

Which model is that? A model D or a KR? I like info like that, I just install a BMV 700 by Victron Energy battery monitor system with blue tooth,Pretty cool stuff

Thats awesome , Did You get the smart phone option ? How well does the Bluetooth feature work ? I definitely have one of those on My list of things to do. Looks like a great battery info monitor. Snap some screen shots of the App on the smart phone and post for Us if You get a chance ?

Art: Is the gauge hooked up to your chassis or house batteries? Where did you mount the gauge? Any trick or challenge to installing the gauge?

That’s for reading house batts, so if you are not plugged in it tells all kind of info, have allarm set at 50% so when I need to run gen it tells me. Mounted the gauge by volt & amp meters and inverter remotes easy install

Art, how is the comm established between you coach and phone?

DT, this thread started out talking about Scan Gauge systems https://www.scangauge.com/ that are hard wired to the bus engine computer(DECC).
Then Art mentioned he installed a battery monitor system https://www.victronenergy.com/battery-monitors/bmv-700 that isn’t wired to the engine computer(DECC), it is hard wired to the house battery bank, and it talks wirelessly via bluetooth to his smart phone about the house batteries only.
Art has oldish inverters and remotes that don’t display much info.
As for this flip phone owner/operator, I have new inverters and remotes that display a lot of good info, so I can live without one.
As far the ScanGauge, I likee.

Don, thanks…got it, connection via Bluetooth while in/around the coach, not via long distance phone…from home for example, I just quickly scanned the info without getting into the details.
I do have a Scangauge D that I alternate using with Ray Davis CanPod/where info is displayed on IPad, larger screen then Scangauge.
