Engine Lights
This weekend,125 miles from home, the check engine light and red “stop” light started flashing on & off. I stopped and determined there was a slow coolant leak above the passenger side tag axle. I couldn’t see the hole. So I shut off 2 (webasto?) ball valves above and fwd of webasto burner, shut off another ball valve near the thermostat housing on driver side, and a gate valve down low on drivers side. Leak stopped leaking. Added 2 gallons of water and finish our drive home. Engine temp never got hot. Took about 15 to fix it and get on the road again.

I’ll eventually get under the bus a find the leak(s) and change the hose(s). Bus is getting old.

Hey Don! Last year I replaced most all the hoses with Silicone hoses, It’s funny all the hoses I Replaced were also Silicone hoses, Didn’t know back then they had silicone hoses, Changed both Thermostats cleaned housing up

The hoses were in pretty good shape but a good time to replace this place FlexTech was quick and had every size i needed

Crawled under today and found the coolant leak, pax side, inside the frame rail, next to the tag bag, two 7/8″ i.d. heavy duty hoses, Marine Products Intl (MPI), where a wire ty is holding them together by who? Preious owner, Prevost, Liberty. Probably original hoses. I knew the day was coming. I’ve had new coolant waiting in the wings for a while now. I’ll be making a list.
