Like I said, “regular” trans fluid from NAPA or anybody else works fine. You just don’t have to have a pump, just fill filters up out of the bottle. An old truckers trick that has worked over the years.

Most any of the diesel additives will work as well if you don’t have access to clean diesel. SeaFoam and most of the other additives will fire the coach up without issue. Heck, it might even do a bit of good!

I want to thank Jon for this most valuable post. For some reason over the summer the coach lost its prime, it looks to me like dirty filters! Reluctantly filled up some bio diesel mix in Oregon coming home in the spring, definitely looks like my fuel tank needs to be drained and cleaned! I changed the filters and will head to Prevost to have them deal with the 100 gal of dirty fuel.
I picked up a sprayer and a quick coupler from Detroit, added a pressure gauge and within minutes the engine was prime and running. Very clean with our coach having the male end on the primary filter housing.
Thanks again!

When ever I change fuel filters on anything I hot soak the injectors with sea foam. Refill filters with sea foam. Run engine a few minutes. Let sit 30 minutes. Re fire engine. Sometimes you get alot of black smoke when restarting . Thats the crap the sea foam is cleaning out.
In my car that is also diesel I can go around 800 miles a tank. I’ve had to dump power service in twice when I’ve ran out. And it’s got me to a fuel station.
