Hish, if you are talking about the flexible orange or red tubes with the steel rings around them they can be found on line. They are generic however the ones from the turbo to the charge air cooler are on the “hot side” so they need a rating of 500 degrees. They are typically paired with blue tubes or couplings that are rated at 350 degrees for the cold side or the side from the charge air cooler discharge.

The Prevost Blue colored ones are rated at 500 degrees however that is not a continuous limit but one that is allowable a small percentage of the time. I have read my turbo outlet temps when the EGR is functioning and the boost is as high as 50 PSI, and the temp is at 500 degrees so if you do buy generic couplings make sure you understand the specs on them.

I just noticed you might not have an EGR engine, but I still think the limits should be at least 500 degrees.

Where is the flex leaking? At the ends or somwhere else? Is yours flex with a flange welded on? (Most is not) Has yours ever been off for any engine/exhaust work. If someone tried to reuse the old seal clamp, it will leak. The seal clamps stretch and squeeze during installation and should not be reused.

It it is the flex, any 5″ flex pipe should work. A 12 “section is a pretty standard size in the trucking industry. Most good shops carry the stainless steel version of the flex, but there are different grades of flex. we only sell the 304 s/s kind. It is fully non-magnetic. Flex should be installed in a relaxed state, not fully extended or fully compressed. the difference is about 20%, so compressit by 10%. The good stuff is $1.72 per inch. We cut a 13″ piece for a 12”

Also, the quality of the seal clamp is important. A good preformed 304 s/s one with an inner shield should cost about $11.50.

I do think that the truck flex pipe will work but wanted to see
what others have done. The leak is at the upper joint near the turbo outlet.

I have owned this coach for 2+ years and upgrading as I go, I am
not sure that PO had any work done on the turbo exhaust, and not sure who the
ownership history. With that said I look at everything as nothing was done
before I bought the coach from Liberty, with exception the tires batteries and
some air leaks that Liberty fixed, but leaks persist and trying to fix them as
I go.

Jon I am not referring to the rubber turbo hoses, I am looking
for information about the steel exhaust flex pipe between the turbo and the
muffler . Thank for the information and the help.
