Emergency webasto help
I’m at 16degrees here in indiana.My webasto will fire right up run for a few minutes start coughing puffs of white smoke, continue to run a minute then stop. Any help…………Steve

If it were me I’d open the unit up and swap the nozzle along with making sure the photo cell is clean or whatever they call that plate that detects a good flame. Ive used a little alcohol (or whatever I was drinking at the time) with a Q tip to clean the soot off mine.
Be sure not to bump the tips that spark for ignition. It sounds like it will light off no problem but has a hard time detecting it needs to stay running.
If I have learned anything its to keep extra nozzles with me and fuel filters for the Webasto along with changing them once a year and have not had a problem. I have a friend that keeps his unit off all the time so its all good until he needs it (lol)

Steve: We’re at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on 38th Street in Indianapolis. It’s 18. I know your concerns.
Don’t forget that until you get the Webasto fixed, you can fire up the Detroit Diesel to keep your coach from freezing up; but you probably thought of that already.
Last night the Cruise-Airs quit making heat about 27 or 28 OAT.

My WebastoWebasto is working now,thanks to all the help on the Forum. It has been workingembarassing sincesirecepce October. My bus stays level for about a month before I have to start it and pump the air bags up.THenwhen it got really cold here everything changed,The bus wold lean to the passenger side after two days. It even threw my satelitereception off on direct T.V. It Webastowould fire and after 2 minutes puffs of white smoke and stop.I have a back channel open to Buddy and He said ” sounds like it’s sucking air” Digital dash said FULL. Must be a fuel hose bad! Well I added 10 gallons of fuel and leveled the bus.Fired right up and no more white smoke. Buddy thinks the lean to the passenger side and low fuel exposed the pick-up to air.How strange is this. I did’nt know the fuel pick-up was that high in the fuel tank and I fueled up in Indiapolisbefor I arrived at my destination. The lean on the bus wae so bad it My direct T.V. threw error codes of “771”. Leveled and that restored my reception.The only issue now with Webasto is it pops the circuit breaker on the inverter once in awhile if its been off too long.Thanks to everyone….Steve

After talking to Steve it seems the leans to the passenger side allowed for the fuel to run to that side of the tank where the pickups are located.
After leveling the coach it caused the fuel to level out in the tank which put the fuel below the generator and webasto pickups.
Steve called and told me he added about 10 gallons in all this process and it ran all night. Just a bad or stuck fuel sending unit.
The infamous CC Digital Dash !!!!!!!!
