  • Drivers door key?

Posted by justin on July 17, 2024 at 9:31 am

My main door key only opens the main door on my XL2. It fits in the drivers side and I believe battery bay but doesn’t turn. Do these doors have a special key or is it a generic key where all prevosts use the same?

There’s been a couple times where I’ve parked in dirt or on a hill and after a few days my airbags dropped and had to dig out to get into the coach. If I had a key to passenger I could at least turn the key to inflate the bags.

right now I store where the front is in grass/dirt and my airbags don’t stay inflated for more than a few days so multiple times the front end has been so low the door wasn’t able to be opened at all or enough to get in.

Another time I parked next to a tree stump in grass and it was fine when bags were inflated but after a few days the bags dropped and the door wasn’t high enough to cleat the stump.

My aux compressor keeps the F/R inflated but not the aux air. I just need to turn the key to open the solenoid and it lifts right up.

The only way to access the coach is the front door. I also wish there was a door code that would open the powered windows, as an emergency backup, or the drivers door. If I at least have the drivers door able to be opened with a key I can store in a bay, use the door code to unlock the bay and get the key then open the drivers door and reach in to turn the key.
