  • Double Towing

Posted by John on February 11, 2012 at 8:15 am

    Good Morning,

Does anyone have experience towing a vehicle and a trailer? I am leaving Wednesday from NE Ohio on my way to Naples and would like some input. I will be towing a Buick Enclave and a small open mototcycle trailer.

    Thanks

    John

L have known a couple of people who have done this a few years ago. One from MD and another from NY to Port St. Lucie, FL. Neither had a problem. They were on I-95 about the whole way. If you do it, I would stay under the speed limit.

Triple is illegal in GA, but don’t know how often it’s enforced.

I think this is only legal if the first two vehicles are a pickup and a fifth wheel trailer. Kind of the same thing you see with the big rigs. When I was in NoDakota I saw this a lot with fifth wheels pulling boats, but never a motorhome. A phone call to some State DMV’s would be inorder.
