  • Diesel burner ?

Posted by Milha on September 23, 2013 at 9:17 pm

We Have a 97 Royale, our first prevost. The man we purchased the coach from told us the only switch to turn the aqua hot on is the blue square button on dash labeled aqua hot.

We have had to turn on the diesel burner with a separate switch on our other coaches, in order to use the aqua hot, and/or the furnace. Is there a separate switch for the diesel burner in this unit? Thanks.

I had a 97 Royale, it now belongs to Peter. The dash switch does turn on the Aqua-Hot and is the only switch for the diesel fired part of the heater. Mine had a switch (120 volt) under the sink that turned on the electric part of the heater. In mild temps, the furnace worked well on just electric, you don’t have to have the Aqua-Hot on to run the heat exchangers. There is a separate switch on the dash for the engine heat loop. Also, as long as the valves in the engine compartment are in the open position to the Aqua-Hot, the engine coolant heats the water.
