    DEXRON III

    I am about to change my power steering filter. What is the best substitute for good ole DEXRON III? DEX/MERC or DEXRON VI? Thanks.

    Changed ours a yr ago with 1 gal of Valvoline Maxlife Multi-vehicle ATF(red bottle).

    I was Told the Napa Dex/merc is the same oil as the Valvoline Dex/Merc. I run this in my transmission and power steering. Napa is easier to get than the Valvoline, anyone had experience with this?
