Detroit Power Cool Plus Extended Life OAT
Seems difficult to buy this locally in our little town. On line sources want more to ship it to me than it costs.
Anyone know of a good source for this coolant?

Les, I bought mine this year at the DD shop in Knoxville. It is close to the Rutledge Pike exit 392 so if you are coming through here on I-40 it is easy to get to.

Wow, I would have loved to have seen the tree house as I’ve never heard of it, well, gone now . We stayed in Crossville last night at the KOA on hwy 70, nice stop-over.

Next time you are in Crossville, Les will rent you a nice spot. He charges 20% less than KOA. Since he has added all his toys to his coach he needs the cash flow. He might negotiate and even lower price for a longer stay with Glen’s meals included.

Knoxville and Nashville both have Detroit Dealers that may stock it. Prestone has an equivalent meeting Detroit Diesel spec 93K217 and can be purchased online from Walmart.com. $16/gal for concentrate, Shipping is free.

Is this better than the Final Charge that NAPA sells? That’s what I have been using and hopefully not destroying my engine!

Final Charge and Detroit Power Cool are manufactured by the same company they have the same specs, so if there is a NAPA near you they will have or can get Final Charge.

The only requirement for coolant is that it meets the Detroit Diesel spec for a particular type engine. It doesn’t have to be Detroit branded
