Since we live in Florida, we have taken our coach to Detroit Diesel in Ocala. We have had the valves adjusted and other service items done. We are very pleased with their service as they know Prevost coaches. Marathon recommended them as they send all their coaches there. While having the valves adjusted, they notified us that there were some safety issues and warranty bulletins on our engine that we would not have known about.
We met American Fleet at one of Jeff’s seminars and thought they were top notch. Ocala was closer to us, but when we are in the neighborhood, we will stop by to visit American Fleet. Ocala is a good stop to remember if you are in a jam and need work while in Florida.
BTW – we have a 40′ XL II and they could not easily reach the front of the motor to adjust the valves. We had Marathon pull up a small portion of the floor (15 minute job) and put it back together after the job was done.

glad you had a good experience and service you were happy with. I took my 2006 H to American About 3 months ago. They confirmed that it had to come out which is what they sugggested and estimated based on the pictures I sent. I’m glad they did. In the process they found a in correctly installed exhaust hose and while it was out I had them replace every piece of coolant hose on the engine. They found something else wrong with a head seal or something. Called and suggested that they replace that as well. I said go for it. even with all the extra stuff and parts not in the quote total bill was under what they quoted. So for the benefit of anyone else. Inside ring getting it done at American I can say without reservation I was treated fairly and happly with the quality of their work

Warrner Truck, St George Utah did my overhead and oil and all filters for less then then a grand, 2002 XLII Non Jake. Just enough to remove the value cover, very close, all items on the upper part of engine had to be removed. At 89,000 all was very close to factory specs. Fuel consumption up a couple of tenths over last 20 K miles.
