Detroit D60 Preventative Maintenance
On a recent trip up to South Dakota we stop at Ft Worth Prevost to have fluids and undercarriage lubricated. When under bus while they Prevost Tech’s were changing oil I notice three of the ten silicone isolators which hold up oil pan were bad or missing. **Prevost does not stock**.
If you have a D60 made prior to April 1999 which has an aluminum oil pan you should put these on your list annual review. They are not stock by Prevost …so you must find a Freightliner dealer that has a set of ten or individual parts. We found a dealer at the corner of IH35 and IH70 in Salina, KS (Truck Center) that had them.
It’s a $4.00 part and simple to inspect and install. ***Aluminum oil pan “Only”**

It is a silicone isolator steel grey in color (Picture).
