Kinda makes you kind of wonder what engineer cooked up this “glue parts to the coach” idea. Wonder if they’re still with them. Makes me glad I have rivets and what it has cost Prevost and the ones that own the coaches to go back to rivets. Of course we all know “It’s only money”

that issue is with H’s with the newer glued in flush side windows.

Peter which side is this on the passenger or drivers, did they remove the panel or have to take it off a section at a time, where was this work being done? Gary

Interesting, as I was talking with a dealer who reiterated the same thing, that H’s have Delam issues as well, but it’s the XLIIs that got all the attention. Just not sure that it’s “as prolific” a problem on the H’s as on the XLIIs.
Since Peter brought this topic up, if your Bus has been inspected by Prevost and passes their inspection, does that mean you won’t have a delam issue in the future?
Also, has any of the XL’s ever had a delam issue? After all, $40K-50K is a lot of money to keep in reserve to fix this potential problem.

T&C, never heard of a problem on an XL, what could de-laminate ? H problems minor compared to XLII and relatinely easy to fix. Geo.

It was both sides they where working on comes off in panels

Even the XL2 problem is way overblown…remember the issue is with water intrusion. I have spoke to lots of people and most small problems can be sorted with Bostik 70-03 or other suitable sealants…it seems only really extreme cases need to be riveted…and that seems to mainly be on the 05-8 coaches for whatever reason.
