Deionized Rinse Systems
Looking at “On-The-Go” and “Spotless” portable deionizer for use as a final rinse.
Is one better than the other or is there something better??

Les I am sure there are many good units out there. We have had very good results with On the Go. I am sure others will share their thoughts as well.

I use the On The Go tank. Depending on hardness of water I can usually get 6-8 washes out of a resin refill, but I use the DI water for the wash bucket as well as pre/post wash rinse. Resin runs about $80 if you look around a bit. Overall I’m satisfied; some of the other units out there make it easier to know when you’re getting close to needing to replace the resin. All depends on your available on-board space and what bells & whistles you want to pay for. DI water is pretty much DI water.

Real men wash their coaches with hard water and then work as fast as possible to dry the coach before the stainless gets hard water spots.
It’s good exercise to dry a coach.

I use Invisible Chamois for the last 10 years and fill my own tank with resin as needed. Like Mike, I can get almost a year out of mine.

My flip phone could dry my bus for me. There is an app for that.

Unit comes with two filters, when the resin has expired you order new ones already filled. You use the box they came in with pre-paid label to send the spent filters back for credit. They give you 30 days to return the filter cartridges.
Friend has this system with the Kranzel pressure washer which is very small setup in one of his bays.

When you get through with that beautiful coach being washed, you can take a towel with slight sprinkles of vinegar on the towel and wiping horizontally, remove whatever slight residue from the process remains. The stainless will then have nothing on it.
It literally takes less than 10 – 15 minutes to wipe down the stainless.

Tom Smith told me about using 5% Acetic Acid (Vinegar)…. I dilute it with pure water and put it in a spray bottle. It really works well.

Les I use the CR Spotless System and have have great results, here in Arlington, Tx the water is not that hard and it easily last over a year.

Les, just swing by Mark’s place when you go through the Dallas area. He has a really cool buffer, his XL looks like it just came off the show room floor. I’m sure he’d demonstrate how well it works by polishing your coach.(-:

Mark, our tap water has a TDS of around 70… I also think a rinse system will last a good while.
