DEF hose hard to pull out
The fuel discount thread got me thinking. We just traded our 2006 Millennium for a 2018 Millennium. We almost always fill up at Love’s because of the discount and the ease of paying. The new bus uses DEF and so far I’ve been very lucky to pull the bus even with the pump. The DEF hose seems very hard to pull out and very short. Am I missing something easy, like a release lever?

Hi Dick . I just talked to a friend of mine that uses Def in his semi. He said you have to pull pretty firm because the hose reel has strong spring tension. Hope this helps. In his words he told me to tell you

Dick,
For three and a half years now, the only problem with DEF that I have found is that the lever on the handle is very sensitive. You have to hold your tongue just right so that it doesn’t click off.
Never noticed a problem with the hose.
