Dead battery after 1 hour
Hello. I went to pick up my coach from Coachworks, and the chassis battery is dead. They only had it sitting for 1 hour. They do have a charger on it now, but it’s a 120v and probably going to take forever to charge. Also there’s is a relay clicking constantly that is labeled “battery monitor” in front driver bay. I hope they can fix this, but I am looking for any suggestions.

With ignition on and no charger, voltage drops steadily, about 2mv every second, now going below 17v. With dash switch turning everything off, battery will jump to 21v. With charger on and dash switch off, around 22v. They are suspecting a bad cell.
engine battery boost does nothing at all. Makes me wonder if it’s even wired up.
never had even a hint of engine battery problems before. Batteries I believe are 3 years old.

Correction, batteries are from 04/17 so just going to replace them

After replacing them it did start easily, but I still had that battery monitor relay turning on/off rapidly. I pulled that relay for now. I am home now. Wish I replaced these sooner, myself, as it would have cost half.

I’ve learned over the years that 12 volt batteries for cars, trailers, trucks, riding lawn mowers, race cars, and buses that last more than five years don’t owe me anything. Thanks said I’ve had some go for more than seven years.
