  • Dash warning Lights??

Posted by Art on September 18, 2024 at 7:18 pm

I just installed the new Vanner 66-100 EQ and new Vanner EM70-D Monitor and now everything is working good but no Balance any more, the old 60-100 every start up Balance light would come on for a moment, Vanner says the old unit had a delay in relays so light might come on, The new unit has no relay so the light does not come on at all yet. So the question is on my 97 when I turn the ignition to on position with out starting red Batt light-Parking brake light-Level low if leveled- Do not shift-Red Stop-orange check engine light they all come on then after a few seconds the 3 lights on left shut off and then start engine. But no other light come on for a test to see if they work, George says on his 06 XL2 turning key on and all lights come on for a moment for a test. Is this the way XL buses do??? When I lift tag or if air is low or other things lights come on.

Disconnect the 12V from the monitor. The balance light should come on to prove all is working.

Yes. The monitor will see the 24V, but read 12V as zero.

From memory I think the monitor lights the balance light if the 12V value is 1/2 volt more or less than the 24V value.
