In both of the Royales I have had you do the following:

Remove the vinyl-covered trim pieces from the center windshield and left and right A-pillars.

Remove the large flat trim panel at pass side lower dash (the one with the entry handle)

Remove the pass side dash cap by removing screws at defrost vents and those exposed when you removed the large panel.

The whole drivers side dash cover comes off by removing screws in line with defroster vents, one screw on the far left near side window, and another on the right side in the same general area as the radio.

Lots of work, but gives lots od access.
