Dash Air
I have noticed that while my dash air is cold, the airflow is not what it should be.
I can turn up the fan and I can hear a difference as I turn it up higher and higher but do not feel any increase in airflow out of the vents. I suspect that while I can hear that the fan is blowing harder, that somehow it is not getting directed out the vents properly. Anyone looked at their dash air vents and controls? I have not opened anything up yet to diagnose this. I thought I’d wait till someone piped in before I start. It’s a 2001 vantare xlii.

We have the same model and year coach.
There is a return air filter behind the grate at the top entry step. On ours the filter is very hard to remove as the opening is slightly smaller than the filter itself. I could not remove mine without bending it a little but when I cleaned ours, there was a considerable improvement in air flow.
One other thing that I have noticed with ours is when the drivers A/C is first turned on, the damper system defaults to defrost so most of the air flow is directed to the windsheild. There has been more than one time when I have said what is wrong with the A/C only to look down and realize I forgot to hit the switch that directs the air flow to the dash vents.

Same with mine if you remove the pannel under dash by stepts there is a cleanable filter when the pannel is off you can see how all vents work . ztwo little thumb finger bolts hold mine on .
