  • Dash air leak……somewhere

I have the dash air with the york style compressor. Replace the compressor this spring along with the dryer (parts from Prevost). Get the unit charged up and it works great for about 1 week. Back to the shop, found a leak, fixed it recharged. Worked great for about a week. This has happend 3 times. Now, we can’t find any leak but, still loosing charge. Ran die through the system still can’t find the leak. Put a can of stop leak in and recharged, worked for 3 day. Now low on charge and still leaking out every time the system is brought up to full charge.

So, is there a place where these systems are known to leak? We have been checking every where we can think of but, can’t find the leak.

    Thanks

Expansion valve, various connections up front in and under the dash and front bumper as well as the dryer. All of those can be a leak source. Also, the run from the rear to the front freon lines can be an issue, not easily found or accessed.

If there is dye in the system the leak will be visible, but to see the leak every part of the system has to be seen. If the leak was not there prior to the work on it, I would be all over the things that were changed.
