  • Dash AC compressor bracing

Posted by George on October 27, 2020 at 9:37 pm

Trying to find the part numbers for Air Conditioner bracing for dash air compressor. Can’t find part in parts manual.

Picture is a 2000 bus with dash air and shows bracing different from my unit

If your unit has double braces please send me info on year and a picture would be appreciated.

    email me at georgewolfe@nc.rr.com or text 919 252 7220

The Prevost Parts Manual shows that yours is correct for your coach..I think. Click on the link below to go to the Prevost Parts manual for your coach (I think it’s correct) and the go to page XL-2245-12. I had to guess at the serial number range for your coach.

Go Here!, Then go to page XL-2245-12

    Hope it helps.

I failed to find the double brace assembly in the Prevost Parts manuals. I did however, find 4 or 5 photos of Prevost coaches on the internet that had the double brace assembly. You might have to call the real Prevost Parts folks to get better information.

I had the newer braces on my 99 CC.

I got the parts while at Prevost Nashville years ago.

I think it was an update because the single bracket was failing because it put the compressor in a bind and with all the vibration from those old compressors it was breaking the bracket the tension adjuster bolted to.

if Prevost doesn’t have them take what you have to a welding shop and the can make them.

Prevost has or did have the update parts, as i remember I paid for the parts and Prevost furnished the labor, this was about 17 years ago, so don’t know about today’s deals

Thanks for this info. I was pleased to see my “new” 1998 has both braces!
