  • CUSTOM FABRIC AND UPHOLSTERY WORK

Posted by Archived on January 17, 2013 at 7:03 am

When we were at the 3 Amigos rally in Oklahoma City last fall we met Nancy and Rod Rogers who were there to learn about Prevost Conversions. They are in the process of selling their home and buying a coach to take their business on the road.

Rod and Nancy own “Stiches” which creates award winning custom interiors mostly for hot rods. But they also have the ability to do any sewn products. While we spoke to them about Prevost coaches we mentioned we were looking for someone that understood coach interiors and that items that might be standard for a home, have to be custom for a coach. In our case we wanted a new bedspread, but it was not only a custom size, it was also a custom shape to match the radii on the foot of the bed, plus had a fitted shape to aid in making the bed which has limited access.

I provided Rod and Nancy with a drawing of the bedspread and yesterday we got our new bedspread made from fabric we selected. We are pretty fussy and the quality of the work and the fit of the spread was excellent.

Rod and Nancy are in the process of selling their house and will soon replace it with a coach, and in addition have a large workload and backlog, but if you have any special needs, whether it is reupholstering furnishings or making special items out of leather or fabrics Di and I can heartily recommend Rod and Nancy. After they get a little settled in their new coach and are ready to hit the road I hope to put up an ad for them. But for now, if you need anything you can go to their web site.

Thanks for the kind words, Jon. Glad you like the bedspread. We enjoyed working on something new and different for a change and look forward to more coach work. We feel it will be a definite advantage to have us come to the work rather than dropping your coach off at a shop. Our car builder clients like the idea of being more involved in the day-to-day developments.

Our plan is to get on the road this spring. Hopefully that will work out. Once that happens we will be available for more work like Jon’s. We will be taking a full shop with us and will have all the fabrication ability our customers have come to expect.

The website listed above has been hijacked. It happened recently when renewal time came due. Not quite sure how to get it back right now so we purchased:

    rodrogers.net

We were able to reproduce some of the content but it is not totally complete. Another place you can view our work is Hub Garage. This site is like Facebook for cars. You can search Stitches Interiors Garage. There are nearly 50 albums of work posted from our shop. Our address there is: hubgarage.com/mygarage/stitchesinteriors
