Pat’s invention is exactly how each of us can customize our coaches to suit our needs.

All the converters do a fantastic job of setting up the coaches and their systems. But we live in them and there are countless little ways we can add to them or make changes to them to make them easier to use, or more convenient.

They are both fairly small and would not offer the convenience a serving plate would offer.

These serving plate style holders are not very difficult to make yourself. Let your inner DIY’er take a stab at it.

You can make them out of acrylic and or propyethylene plastic. You can buy materials in quite a few different colors, shapes, sizes etc. on Amazon.

The only drawback may be the cost of doing a one-off. Between the serving plate, the tube you need for inserting it into the cupholder and the plastic welding glue materials, you may be looking at +/- $50 and possibly much more.

Making this out of solid wood would look even better but the cost would certainly not be less.

One thought, you can probably pop-out the cupholder you already have and make it do double-duty.

I do like this idea and will be looking into making one for our bus. I got reminded today, when we were driving from Alpine, TX to Abilene, TX, when Gabi handed me a sandwich while being at the wheel.
