Cruising on I-44
Our son snapped this photo Sunday on I-44 out of St Louis. While passing they pointed to the RV ….driver waved at them.

I can appreciate the picture. When coming back from Nevada in our 5th wheel years ago from a dog show….a car pulled up along side of us and was frantically waving. we could not understand what they were saying but stopped anyway. To our chagrins….the door had opened up on 5th wheel leaving our 150 LB French Mastiffs looking at folks going by ….after that the door was double locked.

The last time anyone was frantically waving at us, we were on fire.

I don’t have photos, but Jon almost left some at Prevost in TN a few years ago. In all fairness, I may have distracted him while he was hooking up his pickup to head for home. Caught him before he got more than 75 feet….

Mark is right and I try to never talk to anyone when they are hooking up the toad or doing a pre-trip inspection.
All it takes is a little distraction and a vital step in the process is overlooked and the next thing you know you are buying tires, or worse, a new toad.

Jon makes an OUTSTANDING point.
I’ve been a pilot, race car driver, and Prevost motorhome owner/driver. Nothing is more annoying to have someone come up to me and try to start a conversation while I’m pre-flighting the airplane or tying it down, or prepping the race car for a session, buckling in for a session, or loading up to go home, or while I’m trying to hook up the water/sewer to dump and fill or hooking up the toad to leave.
Please leave us alone until we pull out a chair and sit down.
