  • Cruise Air Question

Posted by Ken on July 6, 2015 at 12:00 am

Two of my Cruise Airs have old school 3 knob controls. One has the digital SMX controls. If the digital one is set at let’s say 65 (husband) where it never cycles off it, works great and blows cold air. Let’s say it’s set at 74(not saying). When the compressor cycles off it doesn’t wait long enough before it calls for the compressor to come back on and the head pressure is so high I see about a 45 amp draw then of course the compressor kicks back off. It remains stuck in this loop untill I cut off and reset the thermostat to a temperature it can’t achieve. So does anyone know if there is a sensor that keeps it from restarting until the pressure bleeds off or is it a timer in the control panel?

    Thanks,

    Ken
