AAP gave me a list of companies in my area that were Cruiseair certified.

The first spring of ownership I had my units serviced at Carrier Transicold. I would check with a local Carrier Transcold facility before using someone else. Of course I took the bus to them so they my not be a possibility if you are not mobile. I don’t know if the make “house calls!”

I got repairs done to my cruise-airs today in Anaheim. Easley Marine came to our site in Anaheim a few days ago after ordering a couple new compressors in advance. Robert came by on Tuesday and stripped out the existing 2 units behind the bumper and took them back to his shop. Today he came back and installed them. There was one minor glitch which in hindsight was not necessary but we worked around it and I now have A/C again. He was on the phone with AAP with the initial issues and they did not really seem to be of any help at all. It was the discussion between myself and Robert that led to the final resolution to the initial problem.
I don’t know what this says for AAP, but Robert did an excellent job of restoring our antique CA system to working order including using silver solder for all of the necessary connections. Total bill for 2 new compressors and the required labor and installation was just under $5000 but I have AIR! and I am headed to S. CA and AZ for the Summer. Ask Janet who is in full blown menopause if that’s a good thing or not!

Bill, thanks for posting about your experience. Much obliged. Also, glad to hear you got it fixed to your satisfaction.

Although my cruiseairs are all working great, when I need to service my cruiseairs in the future, I would like to contact AAP for authorized service centers in my area, but this link seems to be broke. I get an “air-brushed artist” site when I click on the link.
Can you fix the link?
-
It may be a problem with my IPhone. Anyone else get directed to a make-up artist?
Thanks Tom for the correct site.

It’s not us boys, you can google AAP and the link will take you to the wrong site.
Or go to Dometic, click on AAP and again wrong site. If you use a Windows computer the link works.
Beyond our pay grade, but appears to happen only on Apple Devices, both Safari and Chrome.

Seems like a twofer for you Apple folks. I know I can always use a good makeup artist…
While adding to this old post I will mention that I had some Cruiseair work done by Easly Marine in Costa Mesa, CA last year and they did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. They diagnosed and corrected an installation flaw that had been causing HiPs issues and thus poor cooling performance apparently since the bus was new. They really know their stuff.
