Crestron EVO touch screen issue
we have a 2009 CC XL ll with the Creston system of controls. There are two wireless control pads and a total of four built in touch screen pads. Of course the problem is with the large 15″ touch screen flush mounted in the dash angled toward the passenger seat. The screen has power but is just showing a dull grey looking surface and it does not respond to touch. The screen has an EVO label on the mounting bezel not Crestron. The other Crestron screens are operating normally so I am thinking the problem is the EVO touch screen and not the Crestron system but far from sure about that. Has any one replaced one of these touch screens and know where I could look for one? Thanks for any insight or help.

Fred I can’t help with the issue you have but was wondering if that is the CC that Buddy Gregg in Lewisville had that has a Cat C15 engine in it.
I was going to make an offer on that coach but they told me GE finance picked it up and didn’t know who had it.

The touchscreen should have an adapter between it and the Crestron equipment. Have you reset that to make sure it isn’t the monitor? I think the mfg for my touchscreen panel was ELO, but not sure since I don’t have that bus anymore. Have you powered the monitor down and then back up to see if that would do anything?
Touchscreen monitors are available from many computer places, but you would have to make sure whatever you get is compatible with the Crestron equipment.

My Bus was originally built for Buddy Gregg, but it is powered by the usual series 60 DD. GE Bank was the floor plan financing Bank for Buddy and they repoed this from Buddy in 2009 and I bought it from the Bank. Ironically, I made several offers on it before when Buddy still had it and never could make a deal with them even though it was obvious how bad the RV market was at the time. A few months later I saw it advertised on consignment and made a quick deal with the Bank.

Mark thanks for the reply. I have tried cutting the power but it didn’t help. There are no control buttons on the outside face of the unit but there are some menu programming buttons and a power button on the back I found when I removed it from the Dash. I have now been told I can do a hard reset of the unit by pressing the power button for 5 seconds so I will try that tomorrow.

Update. It is working again. Pulled it from dash, unplugged input lines, plugged them back in, used power button on back to do a hard reset, and screen came back to normal.
