  • Creeping PSI

Posted by Chuck & Katrina on April 4, 2020 at 9:07 am

Over the last year my air psi (with engine running) has slowly increased from 125 to 130. Any idea what to check and or replace?

Most likely the air governor. There is an adjustment under the top hat cover. CCW decreases the max pressure.

    Depends on the dryer Mike.

If the coach has the Haldex dryer the governor is built into the dryer and the adjustment is under a rubber cap. Back off the pressure goes down, turn clockwise the pressure goes up.

But other dryers have the governor at the compressor.

Dryer is a Bendix. so adjustment is under top hat?

Bendix dryer does not have the built in governor. The governor is located at the compressor and is adjusted as Mike described.
