  • CoPilot Mobile Navigation

Is anyone using the CoPilot Mobile Navigation software? If so, do you use the Personal or the Truck version? I understand the Truck version allow you to enter your coach’s height and weight. This is suppose to create navigation routes with those restriction in mind. I have no idea if the Personal edition allows for this. I was thinking of buying a subscription to this application but wanted to know if anyone here on this Forum has any experience using this applicaiton?

I have had the Trucker HD for 3 years, I really like it.

Height and length, have not put me on any roads that I should not be.

The “Lane” visual for turns helps on multi lane interstates.

I used Copilot for a while. I just got the Rand McNally 7725. So far I really like it. 7″ screen with input from a backup camera. Live weather and traffic as long as you have wifi… I do on the bus. They offer a trucker or RV version. Mine is RV . Shows low overpasses, places with no place to turn around, campgrounds, dumps, fuel stations with prices. Very nice unit.

Of course, I also run a program called Waze on my Nexus7 tablet. Waze is a free GPS program that is user updated. People report wrecks, traffic jams, construction, police, weather, road hazards. It is very helpful too. again, you have to have wifi to use it.

I,ve been using the truck version for 5yrs laptop version also iPad but I follow the laptop and has kept me out of trouble so far, just go through the settings or it could route you off roads you would take, like the Garden State Pkw. In Nj.

    good luck
