  • Connecting Dish to TV Non HDMI

Posted by Chuck & Katrina on April 4, 2020 at 1:53 pm

My Dish Wally receiver has outputs for HDMI – Audio L/R & Video

All new TVs have inputs for HDMI – Audio L/R & Video Y Pb Pr

I want to connect the Bay TV to the Dish receiver in the bedroom. Due to the age of my coach I have a lot of the Audio L/R & Video cabling running through the coach and have a Audio L/R Video cable running from the bed room to the Bay TV area (No HDMI) that I could use.

    Here is my dilemma:

Wally has Audio L/R & Video OUT

New TVs have Audio L/R & Video Y Pb Pr IN. Audio is self-explanatory but how do I connect the single Video OUT from the Wally to the TV (it’s only one cable)?

Coaxial is being used for Over The Air and Cable TV IN

    Tom:

I did think about wireless but was not sure how well it would transmit through the metal of the coach from the bedroom to the bay. Do you have any personal knowledge of how well it would work.
Also, do you have any suggestions for one brand name over another?

I did one years ago for my 01 Liberty and it worked well from the rear to the front. I would think the distance you are looking at would work. Don’t remember the brand name, sorry.
