  • Confusion, Rvthe shortage?

Posted by gary on June 11, 2021 at 6:15 am

Often i hear stories about the Prevost class a RV shortage and Dealerscomplaining they have no inventory Yet when I look at Prevost stuff website there’s usually between 150 and 180 class a prevost available. Perhaps this is just a dealer hype. Does anyone have an opinion?

Probably because they are usually priced about 4 to 5 times the price of a used RV that runs down the road. Worth it as most will outlast a Sticks and Staples camper about 10 to 1.

Start calling about buses and see how many are either sold or no longer available, but no removed from the Ad.

We have the same problem, if the seller doesn’t mark their coaches sold or delete them, we have no way of knowing the coach is no longer available. Hopefully you’ve viewed Coaches for Sale here on PC.

I don’t understand it either. Not necessarily Prevost, I’ve heard so many stories about sold out/backordered/no inventory RV’s – yet every Camping World I’ve seen (including local) and even Lazy Days in FL had/have as many on their lots as physically possible.

There is a problem with coach listings. They only get removed when seller tells P-Stuff and Prevost Community bus is sold.

One serious problem with coach listings is the intentional continuance of a listing for a coach that has been sold.

When a private individual sells a coach the best way to stop unwanted phone calls is to insure the listings are deleted. But when a commercial seller sells a coach letting the listing remain means there are more ads with the seller’s name on them. That in turn gets folks calling the converter, broker or dealer who then has the ability to get that potential buyer’s contact information into their list of possible customers.

Sometimes the end result is a coach that does not sell is wholesaled to another broker or dealer and now the coach is listed on line at two or even more locations.
