My 2001 CC has heat preset by CC at the factory to come on at at 40degrees. I like the light bulb idea better. No wondering about whether 13 year old automatic systems are working.

I’m not familiar with the bay layout of most conversions, but it all the plumbing is in the same bay as the fresh water holding tank your absolute best way to protect that bay from freezing is to keep that tank full and if you have a small heater point it at the water tank so the water temperature is kept relatively warm. It takes a lot of sub zero days to absorb all that heat the water contains.

In addition I always keep a plastic bottle of drinking water in there, easy way to see if it’s getting below freezing.
