What’s best is what works best for you. I’ll tell you what I do. I use the air from the bus to power an air doubler. SMC brand. It takes the pressure you have on your coach (probably near 120 psi) and doubles or triples it. Physics apply here however…….as pressure rises, then flowrate decreases. So, 120psi in is roughly 240psi out, but only half the flow rate. Airing up from 0 pressure, you would want to use the straight bus air up to about 85 psi, then switch to using the air doubler. For just topping off pressures, you would want to use the doubler.
Many coaches have these built in. Very convenient to have.

Just need to use this to adjust tires pressure within 2 – 6 PSI when / if needed.

The best source for air is the bus accessory system. Install or locate a quick connect air fitting. Air the bus up until accessory pressure is 120. Use that air and if it drops below the desired pressure release air so the bus compressor kicks on and repressurizes the system.
Or just go to a truck stop or tire store and use their air.

I have the Doubler and it works great with the bus compressor. I carry a small portable compressor to use when I don’t want to crank the engine.
the guy that wants to leave the campground at 5:00am and has a low tire trying to inflate his tires with the engine running is one of my favorite individuals. -
I always used Love’s to check the tires and pressure…coach is in Petoskey now, one drive tire little low…closest Love’s is over 1000 miles away same with real truck places.
I will try coach air 1st… then I also purchased the unit I listed above.Thank you for your feedback.

I have never seen any of our tires more than 5psi below where I run them. Of all things my 12vdc Milwaukee battery operated compressor will add those 5 pounds fairly quickly, even on the front tires. Never would have thought that possible. It would over heat if trying to add more than about 5psi at those elevated pressures.
