Wow! MLC those are some impressive pictures! I really like your interiors. Just for giggles (like I could ever afford a new coach) I Googled your location. Turns out I used to attend an annual meeting for five years running just down the road from you all and did not know it. We would meet at one of the hotels on Sand Pond Road. Next time I am down Orlando way I will make sure and stop in and look around. Maybe I can convince you to take on a retro project. LOL

I promise not to park next to one of your new High dollar coaches and embarase owner with my 25 grand home made tripple slide 45 ft prevost. Thought this site was going to be differant than POG.

I’d park mine next to any of theirs any day because I need all the help I can get and being parked next to one of theirs would only show onlookers what is poor and what is rich! 🙂

Don’t know if post or being blocked. I wrote nice reply. Basicly said I thought this part was for home builders. We are not dumb and visit the commercial sites for glitz and glitter ideas ;what we don’t find is new technology ideas. They seem to be stuck in past. Same old systems in a new package with new names and new problems and require more $ to keep up. My 29 ft of slide outs in the 98 build I’m completing I have $1000 that is one thousand total in material. I was told yesterday they get $7000 seven thousand a foot for slides that makes my slides worth $203,000. Heck 4 ft of that will more than buy what I have invested in whole bus. This forum I hoped would bridge a gap between the two end of prevost ownership. I actually lost sleep over my previous reply and was going to erase it. But I have learned from this site from the people between my level and the converter (new builder) that we have some common ground. I build and develope systems from necessity reasoning and you are trying to understand why someone else did it that way. Warning to all those I might embarse we are leaving mid Feb for Ocola Area so if you don’t want your new M coach enbarased beware–will be there till mid April in the 89— The 98 will not be finished till late Spring Need a brake/vacation. had new pic to post but after the commercial post I won’t embarse my wife and my self. You see we build our furniture also. Just finished a 143 inch long couch which we adjusted to comfort sitting as we developed. Put slide out drawers full length. Will post pictures later when I get over my bad attitude! Old fart hard head” rest of interior comming together quick now. Should be ready for final floor finish when we get back from vacation.Then the exterior repair needs when weather warms -about 2/3 finished already. Bob

Keep the faith. Nobody is putting anybody down or trying to engage in one-upsmanship.

There is no one way to build, create, own, design or enjoy a Prevost conversion. Those of us who have seen the entire range of conversions from the home built conversions to the triple and quadruple slide professionally built conversions quickly recognize the good ideas and innovations each brings to the table.

Your use of the split minis is an example of how future coaches are going to eventually maximize their cooling capacity while minimizing current draw. A homebuilder starting with a clean sheet of paper can take risks trying new ideas that a highly engineered converted coach may not embrace until the systems you use have been designed in, tested, and subjected to all the range of conditions. A converter is not in the business of taking risks.

On the other hand homebuilders can steal ideas from converters because they do a great job of selecting colors and materials and creating floor plans that work. The technology behind some of the current coaches is mind boggling, but some ideas still have not reached all new coaches because the converters are going crazy right now dealing with the new X3 shell and the tremendous engineering effort it will take to completely revise their layouts. That follows the same engineering effort they had to expend to deal with the loss of space due to the emissions systems and EGR.

Remember that a lot of us that own Prevost conversions have a lot in common in that we know we have the best base for our conversion and that we share the same concerns about keeping our conversions safe and reliable. How we get our conversions is the only difference and I learned a long time ago that despite what appears to be economic differences doesn’t mean diddly when we all get together and swap tales about our coaches and experiences.

Your post stands Bob because your thoughts and opinions are important and valuable. We are not a site exclusive to any particular type of conversion, but want to have all represented by active participants.

After visiting Featherlight/Vantare several years at Sanford them well knowing I could not afford a coach — being given hospitality and treated fairly I referred several people their way. Do not know if they even had nibble but good will and word of mouth goes a log way. Just have had feeling this was more a home builder part of forum. Bob

I have to say Millenium Bob Thanks for the photos! In comparison, Although I know I will never become a Top Country Star it is still fun just playing country music. The thrill is watching and listening to a Country Star or Country Legend. As an old dog I have learned a lot of new tricks watching the stars. This said, I believe the photos need to be appreciated for the skill, design and management it took to accomplish this sort of construction. And some detail may catch my eye and help me make a better choice of my buildout. Millenium by far has the best interiors and decorations I have seen in the market other than Heritage Coach but they are no longer in business. If I ever get that much money I will buy from Millenuim!
