  • Cleaning OTR air filter

Posted by Per on October 13, 2016 at 1:27 am

Got the OTR air filter out today for cleaning. A real pain to get it out, and back in! Like the other air filters, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, and as a special bonus, I found a sheet of non-slip stuff like you put on shelves and a hair cap like painters use in the compartment. I’m sure they didn’t do a lot for air flow. Anyway, filter was cleaned and reinstalled–should make some difference in air flow. Now I got to figure out why I can’t get any air flow to my feet when running heat. Should be getting some flow that direction, when the right button is pushed. Perhaps a hose has come loose, will investigate later. Staying in the Zion River Resort next couple of nights. A bit tight for our coaches–not for the faint of heart!

Cruise Airs are different from OTR AC. As far as filters for CruiseAirs, find the blower for each CruiseAir unit. The filter will be on or close to the blower. The filter for the OTR AC in our coach is in the blower compartment forward of the utility bay.

It would also help us give advice if you include which coach you have.
