Cleaner underneath
Just took the coach off ramps, Finally it looks much cleaner underneath with al the new parts and a lot of labor, The cost wasn’t bad just a lot of my time. Replaced Tag & drive Spring Brakes and Diaphragms all the way around plus lifting pots for tags, Replaced both Haldex check valves on Primary and secondary tanks, Replaced the R-14 relay for spring brakes and 3 R-12 relays for service brakes and 8 new Parker rubber brake hoses, Found a bubble in the 33 inch long hose to spring brakes from the R-14 relay to the tag spring brakes, If that bubble would of let go, brakes ON, Pressure is holding, adjusted brakes, I still need to replace the lifting valve for tags,haven’t found the correct one yet. So wrote everything down in maintenance book. It was a long wait for all brake lines from Prevost but they came through. Some before and after pictures.

It’s getting there 1 more thing down, Glad I found the hose that was getting ready to pop. Air leaks are almost gone.

Here is a picture of the bubble in the hose the holds off the spring brakes.

That hose wasn’t far from either requiring the brake to be caged and the hose inlet plugged.
The message here for those who are concerned about on-road surprises is how important a routine under coach inspection is every time someone has an opportunity to be beneath the coach.
I know we sound like a broken record saying stuff like that, but a hose whose value is similar to the fuel cost for an hour’s worth of driving can result in hundreds of dollars of roadside service.
