Cleaned & Painted Insides Of Aluminum Wheels
No trips planned anytime soon and the wx is agreeable, so:1)Removed, mechanically cleaned then painted the “insides” of all 4 aluminum wheels on the tag and drive axles. Steer axle wheels are next. -

looks nice. What did you use to get them clean and what did you paint them with? I need to put new tires on my drive so i am looking at doing the same while the tires are off.

Harbor Freight polisher, wire brush attachment, and some rattle can paint.At least annually I have the tag and steer axles wheels/tires off the bus to clean/lube slide pins, etc, etc. It has always driven me crazy that I wasn’t able to (easily) clean the inside of the wheels. I’ve tried many chemicals and hand brushes, all wo/success.
