Anyone experimented with running just 2 batteries (assuming you can wire this correctly) Or just running four much smaller and cheaper batteries with better car type warranties?

I ask because the Prevost Coach is designed to supply power to a seated coach, a bunch of tv’s reading lights, more overhead interior lighting etc etc.

My bus has none of that, all LED marker lights and bay lights, no big draws anywhere. Other than turning the Detroit over there is no need that I can see for all that battery power.

I notice a lot of people in the trucking industry are ditching two batteries ( or at least 1) and using the maxwell start module to fire the truck. Basically a big capacitor of sorts. This would eliminate no starts for the Liberty guys.

All you guys driving SOBs (some other brand) may think it is a crisis if we cannot jump start the engine from the house batteries in our fine Liberty Coaches..

Here’s the reason. We believe in maintenance. We replace batteries before they puke. On the other hand you drivers of SOBs might just as well throw away all your chassis batteries because I noticed once you all realize you can start the bus from the house batteries you just leave the old dead chassis batteries in place rather than trying to maintain the coach.

    Your turn.

The Maxwell is an interesting concept, but at 10500, I can get jump started many times if need be.

Chassis batteries work in a very tough environment because of the heat and once they near 3 yrs, best to change them out and be done with it.

My Marathon has a built in module that measures chassis battery condition and if the parameters are not within spec, an electronic signal is sent to Napa and a service truck is immediately dispatched to my location, all batteries are replaced at no charge. I never have to use the jump start button, it’s only there in case I’m stranded in Wheatland,WY and the closest Napa service is in excess of 500 miles.

    Back at ya….

That always was Franks theory, put a piece of polished stainless over it. It will be ok.

Hey driver, how many times you move that old refrigerator to change that filter?

Is there any way you can deliver what you are spreading to my garden. That stuff will really make my tomatoes grow.

Glad you asked Bernie, I never have to remove the fridge to clean my cruisair filter, I have an access door for that purpose, an excellent Marathon design.

For the folks driving an SOB who are worried about air filters, all four of mine are behind a panel that snaps in place. Easy to clean. Pop the panel off, clean the filters and after putting them back in place just pop the panel back in place.

So easy a Mrathon owner could do it.
