  • Check Your Bays Closely

Posted by Archived on July 27, 2012 at 10:03 pm

I noticed a small puddle of water under
the bus, you know, not a good sign. So into the bay I went and found
one of my Shurflo water pumps with a small drip in the case. What I
found was the tiny leak, I believe it just started, allowed water to
seep under the rubber mat that I assume was factory installed. So I
pulled the entire bay apart removing the pumps and aux compressor and
also removed the rubber mat. Underneath, the wood was wet, but no
damage, I caught it in time. So, just a reminder to take a real close look at those bays that
have any kind of plumbing. I’m going to leave the rubber off,
    prime and paint the floor.

A little work in progress and I don’t have to polish the pipes, they’re hidden with the Aqua Hot Panel.

Remember the old saying Charles, just for the Liberty crowd, chrome don’t get ya home!

I saw the comment and chose to take the high road and not make any comments about envy, like I did just now.

My plumbing bay is equipped with a high-tech leak detection device which is provided for early detection of leaks to avoid extensive damage. I believe it’s referred to as a “hole in the floor”.

Sounds like a LIBERTY OEM part to prevent or reduce the need for pipe polishing.
