Davy replace all four at once , you may pay now but no trouble later, I could leave my last two coaches sitting for up to three months and batteries would be good to start coach, and no charger on them on the pre 2000 model I always shut of main battery switch in engine bay just to be safe , Even on my Peterbilts I shut off batteries at night , just in case of a short or something else

Thanks again for the help. I put in the new batteries and a 24v charger Friday. I breathed a sigh of relief when it cranked because I needed to hit the road Saturday. If my old 24 charger had not quit I would not have chosen this week to change the batteries but with the batteries low and no way to bring them up I waded in to see what I would find. Once I knew there were two bad batteries there was no looking back.
I bought the 4 group 31 batteries from NAPA for $98 each. These batteries have 1140 CA and 950 CCA. Since one of the connectors broke on one of the leads from the equalizer I replaced all three of them to be safe.
I ordered an IOTA charger. It was a little higher than the charger Tom recommeded and is more sensitive to water but I ultimately decided it was the right one for my situation. It does not come with leads so I had them made up at NAPA and tied it into the 24 charging posts. I put and inline fuse on the positive side. I could not see how I could mount it but I was able to rearrange some things and I mounted it up high above the batteries next to the Vanner monitor.
All cleaned up and ready for batteries
Batteries in place
Finished
Below is what it used to look like with the battery charger mounted just above the batteries. I had to remove the charger to check the voltage on the equalizer so now that will be easier to access.
Thanks for all your help on the forum and the emails and phone calls.
Davy
