    Chassis Battery charger

    Just installed 4 new Chassis batteries group 31 batteries. They were charged when I installed started engine cranks great, It has not moved sense I installed so I thought I would run charger for a while just because, Charger is a 24v Samlex smart charger with a amp gauge. Turned it on and it was pulling about 12 amps at 28.89v and 14.44v on low side, after about 30 min it was about 5 amps same volts, Is 28.89 ok for lead acid batteries??
