  • Changing antifreeze??

Posted by Art on February 1, 2025 at 9:56 am

I have been dragging my feet on changing the antifreeze in my PowerTech 17.5 KW generator. I’ve been good on everything else but the antifreeze because of the air lock after changing the antifreeze. It is the 4 cylinder Kubota engine it only has 1002 hours on it pretty low usage. My oldest son has a Turbo S Porsche 997,It has coolers all the way in the front so it is hard to get all the air out. He uses a tool that vacuum’s the system and fills all the voids with antifreeze,I helped him the 1st time he changed the antifreeze and it worked great, I wonder if I can use that tool to change my generators antifreeze?? You use shop air to make the vacuum.

I’ve had a tool like that for decades and many years ago posted on here (I think) about its use and benefits.
