That was a very shocking post to read above about Centramatic. All dealings with Centramatic at the factory location have been above and beyond satisfaction.
I don’t know based on the above post where your purchase took place. Could you share this ?
Centramatic donated a steer axle set of balancers as a door prize to PC’s Branson rally…..just saving.

Centramatics won are finally on the steer axle with a new set of 315’s. The coach is at Jeff’s having a multitude of work and upgrades being done. You staff at the home office were most helpful with delivery of the winnings. I can’t wait to see the difference they make in balance and ride.

Al brought Centramatics to PC and most of us have had great service ordering from them. I would suggest Al gets involved and find out where it all fell apart, with your permission of course.

I was at speedco getting and oil analzsis done and the clerk was trying to get a driver to install a set of centramatics on his tractor and was quoting him $1750 for ten wheels plus the intial balance of the tires. Is that what they cost a wheel $175 and you still have to balance the wheet the first time?

We had them installed recently at ETLC and they were 1800/axle and no you don’t balance the 1st time. Geo.

Tom and Al, I doubt anyone cares about my personal experience with Centramatics, but I suggest you try this: contact them and ask for a list of their dealers in your area. I guarantee you won’t get it. It is some kind of closely guarded secret.
I can’t pull wheels from my bus so I need a dealer. I asked for a list of dealers in LA. They responded by asking my area code. I gave them 4 area codes for LA. They responded by directing me to 2 dealers in Bakersfield, 125 miles away. I arranged with one for installation and made the drive on the day of my appointment. He didn’t have the parts in stock and said Centramatics had failed to deliver them. He could not answer why he didn’t bother to call me to tell me not to come. Anyway, the stupid dealer is not Centramatics fault, so I contacted them again. Now they said they have lots of dealers in LA. They gave me the names of a few. One said he no longer sells them and the others said they did not have the parts I needed in stock and could not get them in time for my upcoming trip.
Other than that, dealing with them is simply great.
I’m not into public venting of this sort. I would rather deal direclty with the company I have a problem with. I’ve therefore already suggested to the folks I dealt with at Centramatics that companies who want to sell their product don’t keep their dealer list secret. Customers may want to choose which dealer to use, not be dictated to by the manufacturer.
I really wanted to buy these things, and expressed that desire in numerous emails to Centramatics. They made it ridiculously difficult and I explained my frustration to them while it was happening. I don’t think I should have to beg them to sell me their product, so I just moved on. The Balance Masters work great.

It is a sad commentary when we give a company our business not because they are great, but because their competitor is not.

This is the first time I have heard of anyone having issues with Centramatics, so I was simply suggesting maybe Al could look into the problem since they are an Advertiser. I ordered mine direct and then took them to the tire company, so I have no experience other than Jeff with any of their dealers.
I’m not defending them, so I’ll just drop it hoping there aren’t more complaints going forward.

We just had new rubber put on all around, the drives had the balancers, the tag and steer did not now they do! best money I have spent. the ride is unbeliveable, we hated to park the bus in the barn, but next day we had 6 inches of the white stuff, Bus is nice and snug till we pick a departure day after Christmas to warmer climes. I just recieved the exhaust hose and port hole for the wall. I will install them soon so when I lose power and my power loss control is on it will exhaust to the outside, Gary

A little off subject but where did you order the exhaust hose and port hole for the wall?

So as I mentioned, I had fairy dust which was farted into my tires by unicorns to balance my tires while driving. Not only did it not keep my tires balanced, but it also got dust jammed into the valves, and caused them to leak (that was technically the fault of the people who installed the tires).
When I got the final two TOYO tires mounted on the TAG axle, I didnt have the balance sand installed. I did notice a slight vibration, but nothing that bad.
So fast forward to a visit to Jeff’s and a shipment of centramatics coming in while I am there and I decide to get them installed on all three axles.
Dang, talk about a difference! It’s like a whole new(ish) coach! Much smoother and even seems to track better since there is less vibration overall. Was a nice smooth 150 mile drive back to the ATL area from Jeff’s place.
If you dont have centramatics on your coach and you have been thinking about it, get them. Well worth the money (which really wasnt that much).
And if you get to Jeff’s soon you can have the pleasure of having PeterC remove and install your tires. Was nice to see someone get out the big old torque wrench and actually torque the nuts to proper spec (not that it matters at this point as I am sure the impact guns that have been used over the years have stretched the threads a good amount).

Peter and Dan didnt know about the fairy dust, it’s still in the tires… hope is it wont cause issues, didnt seem to on the way home.

I think Jeff at ETLC keeps the Centramatics in stock… when he put on our new tires we found out that Liberty removed 4 of them when they put on the last set of tires… guess they just forgot to put them back on but luckily for us Jeff had them on hand so we now have a full set.

You are right Tom it’s Trina she is the boss we all no that , if my bus is broken she will fix it that’s for sure , hope you are having good time , Trina said it was 60 degeres today at ranch
