How many still use a CB radio while traveling. I used to monitor the CB but seems as of last few years about all I hear are Utility trucks or construction crews, not much related to the road.

I still do Larry, but mostly for traffic or accident situations.

What Tom said. My GPS also monitors accidents and can route me around one, but the CB was instrumental in letting me know the bus was on fire so its real benefit is to get a warning about a problem.

That is what I intend to do but I rarely hear those conversations. Even sitting at Camp Marathon off of I 5 I don’t pick up much but, I hear the line truck and construction crew. Not sure why they are on channel 19.

My only CB experience on a bus is with the Liberty conversions. None have been exceptional at transmitting or receiving.

A while ago we listened a heated conversation after a “Swifty” hit another truck in the parking lot. Very entertaining.

    Otherwise pretty useless IMO.
