I can appreciate why (though there is apparently a nice campground across from Manhattan, you might want to tour some key places from the Revolutionary War, the Jersey Shore apparently has some nice places, perhaps you might stop at NJ Motorsports Park for racing, etc…), but you may be driving through NJ and have to stop. In this latter case, though Federal law should protect you, it would be nice if there was a larger blanket of protection such as national reciprocity.
