It’s hard to imagine that VW Bus being a taxi (which I’m sure your are right). The only problem is that it could not carry much weight with that small air-cooled engine!
Once, I drove mine to Nashville to see my sister (with other siblings) and we were looking at houses. This particular house had a steep downward driveway. I had to back up the hill to get out. The bus would not go up the hill, LOL!
My passengers had to exit the bus for me to get enough momentum to get up the hill. So, a taxi bus? I hope it was all flat land.

Gabi and I had a great time here these past several days. A lot of beautiful and interesting cars in the auctions. Even a couple of airplanes.
Christmas is coming so I got her a Breitling for an early present.
Just kidding. Wouldn’t know how to load this on our trailer. Might require an overwidth permit.

Ron, You would have to paint the top half of that Breitling black. The bottom half is OK, but I was under the impression that everything that you owned, that was a mode of transportation, had to be black. Enjoyed meeting you and Gabi at the Seminar. Enjoy your new CAC.

If you haven’t any plans for the dates of the event, by all means sign up and attend.
If you women think this is a guy thing, nothing could be further from the truth. There are some guy things like rummaging through old car parts and memorabelia, but that is when the ladies can participate in a winery tour or shopping in Lakeland with the provided transportation. Di wasn’t sure about the auction, never having been to one, but she and I are going back for certain. There is such a variety of special interest cars that she now wants to see if there is one we can bid on and buy next time.
I know Tim and Bill have more plans for the February event even though it is hard to imagine any way possible to improve on this one that just concluded. This has been our best rally which I think is saying a lot because over our 25 plus years of Prevost ownership we have been to many.
Do not pass up this event.

The rally is lots of fun and well organized, so how does it work ?
PC members are treated like royalty. Buses were grouped together it what was referred to as Prevost Row. Your pre registered so pick up your vehicle pass and your neck band ID.
Neck ID….100% access any place on the property and pre registered for auction buying. If you see something you like just raise your hand at the auction hanger. Your ID number is on this neck ID.
Veh pass, see below….. Applied to your tow car windshield with special codeing allows access anywhere in and out of grounds. Your tow car is parked next to your bus and not separated in a special lot.
Additional… personal scooter rental. There is so much to see that these 2 passenger battery operated scooters make sense.
Pretty much in the center of the event are probably a dozen food tents for lunch Breakfast and dinner are catered included in your fee. All of our meals and happy hour were at the air conditioned Cessna bldg, pictured above.
Happy hour included wine, bottle beer and special brewed beers 2 different each night, hard liquor and finger food. Dinners were hot meals, breaded fish, shrimp, BBQ with all the extras. Last, cigar bar being rolled on site. Entertainment feature after dinner.
FYI…Parliament and Featherlite each wrote a deal on one of there displayed buses. WOW.
There’s a Rolls Royce in the pics above and one PC member is the new owner. Those things happen at car auctions. Maybe he’ll give us some details ?
Yours truly took a ride in a Army Huey helicopter. Cost was $75 per person, 10 persons in ship, about 15-20 minute ride. What a thrill.. been about 40 years. Brings back a lot of memories.

Good view by BA, but one note… You can’t rent golf carts because of insurance requirements and not sure how it works with personal owned carts.

Just spent a couple of days with Bill and Tim from Carlisle and, first of all, we want to thank all who attended the first Air and Coach Concourse! Your participation helped to make it an even bigger success than we had anticipated – Bill, Tim, and their entire Carlisle Events team deserve a huge round of thanks for all their hard work and dedication – It’s pure joy to work with professionals like this group – Looking ahead (and February is just around the corner) we’re putting the final touches on making this an even bigger and better event – Details will be announced soon and links will be available so everyone can get registered as soon as possible – We are planning on possibly having as many as 100 coaches in attendance, so we are working on the logistics now,to make sure that all accommodations are in place – Those of you that attended the first event know that everything will be done ” First Class “- Moving forward, we will be inviting ALL Prevost convertors to display their products at the future events with the goal of making this a major national event in the very near future – With help from folks like Jon, we plan to expand the seminars and round table discussions to make this an even more well rounded event, with something for everybody – Thanks again to Tom, Jon, and Prevost Community – Your support helped to push us over the top! Melodie, myself, and the entire Parliament Motor Coach team look forward to seeing everyone at our “No Agenda” rally starting Jan.5, and again at the next Air and Coach Concourse in February – Until then….Drive Safe and keep in touch.

Happy Thanksgiving!!
I have finally resurfaced from the underworld! LOL. I really want to take a minute to Thank each and every one who participated in our very first event. I am sincerely humbled by all of your positive responses and Thank You’s. As you know, Bill and I worked very hard on our first event, but the final product sure exceeded our expectations. None of this would have been possible without you. You folks really are the best of the best, and I am so happy to expand my ever growing circle of friends. I cant wait to catch up with all of you again soon at other rallies, shows, or possibly our next show in February. I also look forward to meeting those that were unable to attend the November event, and I can promise you that I will try my very best to make the experience the same if not better than the last. This will be a tough hurdle, but again who isnt up for a challenge?
I would also like to take a minute to thank a select group that without them, this vision would have never happened:

On a day called Thanksgiving, there is a lot for me to be thankful for, I would like to thank Bill 3, Woody, and Aubrie. With your hard work and dedication we pulled it off, but we could of never had done this if we didnt work as a team and it showed! You are not only my co workers, I am proud to call you my friends! So lets enjoy our family and friends today and the impending Turkey Dinner Coma and we will be back hard at it on Monday to try and do this all over again in February!
