  • Bus building at Marathon

    Got the go ahead to take a couple of pictures of activity inside the Marathon factory;

    2015 entertainer 45 foot “Non Slide”. Note the non rib sides, color is primer coat. Arrival at Coberg gets bus wash, pressure tested for water leaks and full inspection before acceptance. If all is well it goes to paint shop. This bus is sold.

    See the track on the right of picture. This is a lay out track for building the long wire harness that you can see in some of the pictures. Where you’ll see large rolls of many colored wires in a group.

    2015 “H”quad slide. Picture showing back of bus, ceiling duct work , wiring, both rear slides are extended.

    Rear of same bus.

    Front of same bus. Techs were installing the track seen in picture containing wiring which will be needed for items on the slide i.e. TV, outlets, lighting, touch pads.

    New “H” well on it’s way inproduction. Note slide has been reinstalled back in bus. When I was here 5 weeks ago that slide was sitting on the floor.

    Look-eee…..there Truk4u what I found on a new XL when I opened the bay door !

    That’s all folks

    Al, watched the same stuff at Millenium for a week 3/13 during their rally. Fascinating stuff, basically saw the process from acceptance of a shell to an H being finished that week(Joe was there waiting) and all stages in between.

    Interesting driver side door on the first picture. Is that common now or is it something special. Looks to short for a driver exit door.
