With the heat toggle switch on and coach temp on high the toggle lights up. With the driver’s control on high toggle does not light up. With the ac on neither temps controls light up toggle. Ac clutch compressor is working. Hoses off the compressor are cool. Could rheostat control knob be bad? And does control knob open vents or some type of circulation?

Trying to interpret what you are asking. Going by my memory of my old dash.

When you set the selector switch to “heat” on the OTR you should see the annunciator light for heat come on. When you select AC on the OTR the only time you will see that heat light come on is when the coach is getting too cool and then it will light when it is modulating the AC output to maintain your coach temp.

On the driver’s AC or heat that annunciator light will not function. You will only get driver’s AC if the OTR AC is on.

Jon With the OTR selector switch on “ac” the annunciator does not come on at all. I seem to have a cirulation problem I think. I get cool air off dash but the rest of the bus is just blowing warm air. Rick

With the OTR and driver’s air temperature knobs set to their lowest position and the system running for a while to stabilize temps what are the temps at the outlets in the driver’s area and at some point in the rear such as in the kitchen, and how do they compare with the OTR return air which is under the kitchen cabinetry?

There should be a sustantial temperature differential in excess of 15 degrees at the least.

If the front is functioning, but the rear is not start checking for fan operation at the evaporator (driver’s side). If the fan is working it could be an issue with the temperature selector knob, a solenoid valve in the system, etc. The Prevost shop manual is a good guide to helping chase down the problem.
