  • buffing / Polishing in Houston, TX?

Posted by Richard on July 25, 2013 at 6:30 pm

Anyone know someone reputable and honest that does stainless polishing on coaches in the Houston, TX area? I would like to freshen mine up.

    Thanks for any suggestions

Richard, Check with Prevost in Ft.Worth. They have been doing repairs on coaches so when the skin is involved they need to farm out the work to qualified people. They can make recommendations.

One thing to be careful about is if the polisher is skilled at doing wheels it is not an assurance they are qualified at polishing the skin. You cannot hurt the wheels by agressive polishing. They are thick and will tolerate virtually all techniques with no adverse consequences. The skin being thin is very susceptible to heat damage which will result in buckling of the skin panels. A qualified polisher will understand he needs to keep the buffing wheel moving and that bringing out the shine is a gradual process, sometimes beginning with multiple grades of sandpaper before buffing begins.

    Thanks Jon,

I will call them Monday. I think I read that Prevost opened a shop in Houston not to long ago as well.

I will check with them too.
